“Nancy has been poisoned!” the doctor announced

alarm hints fails the detective

puzzling paper treachery

 

“How strange!” Hannah murmured

fantastic double headlines

stolen story tactics

dog gift missing

 

George and Bess rushed forward to help Nancy

phantom sleuths

missing the dream

 

“Hang on, Nancy!” Tex shouted

sheriff’s nettle ride

startling red warning schoolmaster king

 

Could she trap the thief in this disguise? Nancy wondered

end revelation hoax

the lawsuit entrance

 

“At least I have a sketch of the intruder’s footprints,” Nancy said to herself

steps to the cliff’s strange scare

sudden parchment disappearance

 

“I must get out of here!” Nancy thought desperately

the dangerous sneak

exciting triple gift double prowler

 

Suddenly Nancy spotted the mysterious Arab

the desperado’s sinister red lights

curious secret suspect

 

“We must find the other part of the paper,” Nancy said

detective Nancy’s clue

the dog gift missing

 

“Never try to pierce the gypsies’ secrets, or misfortune will befall you!” the woman whispered

fortuneteller’s helpful news

danger treasure of perilous quest

foiled ghosts

 

“Come and rope me, pardner!” Bud challenged Bess

rewarding Nancy’s artist: a doll

shortcut rockslide

 

“What are you doing?” George called to the stranger

backstage surprises lion armor

complications interrupted source dismissal

investigates shadow property

 

“Drop that purse!” Nancy cried out

upsetting reunion of Warwick, the daring financier

prisoner stolen valuable program

curious footprints

 

“Get that blanket out of this house!” Hannah cried

interrupted knight followed gold

strange victories

 

“I won’t go there! It’s haunted!” Trixie called out

in shorty’s haunted frightened blue clue

the mannequin’s present impostor

 

The shock knocked them into the flower bed

amazing rattle attack

strange light purse

 

“I am being followed!” Nancy thought anxiously

two stranger trick

dream the strategy

 

“Halt!  Or I’ll run you through!” the knight cried out

warning Nancy

green figure escaped tracing in dancing

 

“It’s one of Mrs. Struthers’ stolen dolls!” Nancy exclaimed

bride disguise

house hidden television revelation

unexpected tack clue

 

“Leave here at once and never come back!” the stranger warned

search the collector

room assignment

dungeon without program

  

“Nancy, be careful!” Bess cried fearfully

warning from gold stranger

number nine clue surprising confession
