Sequel City Columns
I wrote a column for the pop culture website Pop Bunker about the often-maligned art form that is the movie sequel. I wrote 17 reviews (and one special list) from 2010 to 2011 before I had to retire the column. It was a fun experience that allowed me to write about movies—old and new—that many would write off as being inferior.
Sadly, Pop Bunker no longer exists online, and for a long time now, the only way to read these columns was to open the old documents on my computer. I was very proud of the work I did on these reviews, and I’m really excited to collect them all on my site.
And, as a bonus I did not expect, I was able to find some of my columns preserved on Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. While most of the columns here are text-based, seven of them are screenshots from the original site. These screenshots aren’t perfect—they are missing pictures here and there—but I think it’s great to see stuff like the original formatting and some of the comments that my readers left.
Please check out the columns gathered below and enjoy a trip back to Sequel City!
